Weโ€™re getting close to Halloween, and you need a costume. Not to worryโ€”your helpful Screenfeed team is here to help. Why not marry two great things; digital signage content (obviously) and a super fun Halloween costume?!

Hello! Iโ€™m Alyssa, Associate Creative Director here at Screenfeed and your Personal-Digital-Signage-Halloween-Costume-Stylist. Trust me; itโ€™s a thing. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Before we get into it, note that youโ€™ll see each costume is graded by an โ€˜eyeball score.โ€™ The more eyeballsโ€”the better.

Now, let's do the Monster Mash.

The Scariest of Scaryโ€”"The Zoned Doll" ๐Ÿ‘

Haphazardly stitched together, sheโ€™s the scariest of them all. She strikes fear in viewers because there is just too much to look at. Viewers either look away as fast as possible or are so overwhelmed by competing messages and info.

But fear not! Screenfeed can help you craft a strategy thatโ€™s easy on the eyes and wonโ€™t overwhelm your viewers. This strategy can be in the form of intentional placement of feeds and the definition of a strong hierarchy of information.

"Just Phoning it In" ๐Ÿ‘

Lazy. Last-minute. Lame. Yeah, you have a costume, it checks the box, maybe itโ€™s even slightly clever, but itโ€™s forgettable and isnโ€™t engaging to anyone. Although Powerpoint can work for small applications, the templates are tired and lack the needed strategy to truly grab your viewers. Take your time, invest in quality digital signage contentโ€”err, costume.

"The Clever-Albeit Awkward Look" ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Walking around all night in this beast of a costume wonโ€™t be easy, but itโ€™s a clever one nonetheless. Putting on the fake smile of a stock photo will keep everyone laughing.

Great as a conversation starter, not so great as a supporting element. As a costume, this one works, but as a staple in digital signage content? Not so much. Selected carefully, stock assets can be quick, effective, and budget-friendly.

Still, all too often, weโ€™re left with cheesy, contrived images functioning as mere placeholders within your content.

"Crazy Old Content" ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Arguably the most comfortable of our costume options, "Doris" might have been something in her day, but sheโ€™s not grabbing eyes anymore. A house dress, wig, and slippers are easy to throw on, making this costume an effortless go-to.

Thereโ€™s something to be said for experience and longevity, but not when youโ€™re looking at digital signage content. Keeping content looking fresh will keep heads turning, and your audience engaged.

"The One Everyone Loves" ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

The star, the beauty. All eyes on her. Grab a black dress, some gloves, and pearls if ya got โ€˜em! You can throw this is a super-quick costume together using pieces you likely already have (and maybe a little Prime Shipping from Amazon).

Sheโ€™s the type of content you want on your screen. Well designed, fresh, easily updated, and meticulously arranged.

From scary to glamorous, I hope these five easy costume ideas stoke your imagination for Halloween in 2019โ€ฆ and maybe even your content strategy for years to come!
