BrightSign Integration Overview

Brightsign Bright Author Integration Overview

Learn how to easily integrate your Screenfeed digital signage content with Brightsign, easy-to-follow screenshots are included.

Below are the methods in which we have tested and recommend to get our content into your BrightAuthor playlist loop.

- Media RSS

- HTML

With either method, please ensure that the zone properties in which you are placing the feed are that of either Images (blue) and Video or Images (green).

MediaRSS Delivery: Within your BrightAuthor project navigate to the Media Library > other tab/section. From here you will see media item named Media RSS Feed in which you will select and drag into the playlist (See A).

You will then be prompted initially with an RSS Feed dialog box asking you to select a feed from a list or Add Data Feed. We will select Add Data Feed for this example (See B).

Once you have selected to Add Data Feed, you will then be presented with another window in which is where we will enter the actual feed, and additional details.

- Feed name: Name the feed as you will

- Feed specification: Select URL from the radio button options, and place your feed URL from your Screenfeed account

- Data feed content usage: Select the MRSS feed radio button

- Update Interval: There are several options to select from the dropdown. Our recommendation would be that of 5 minutes or every hour depending on the content feed in question.

Once you have added all of the feed details, click on OK. You will then return the previous screen with the RSS Feed dialog prompt. Click on OK as well.

You will then see your newly added Media RSS feed in your playlist.

HTML Delivery: Within your BrightAuthor project navigate to the Media Library > other tab/section. From here you will see media item named HTML5 (or HTML depending on the player model you are using) in which you will select and drag into the playlist (See C).

You will then be prompted initially with a dialog box stating that no HTML sites are defined, and would you like to add a site now. Select Yes (See D).

Here you will enter the name for the HTML site, as well as select the URL radio button and enter your feed URL from your Screenfeed account. Click on OK.

From here, select the Enable external data option and change the value as needed for Time on screen. Once complete, click on OK.

You will then see your newly added HTML feed in your playlist.
